President Kenny Liao

• The President shall (a) preside over all meetings
  of the organization, (b) appoint appropriate
  committees and serve as an ex officio, non-voting
  member of these committees, (c) perform other
  duties for the promotion and development of SEMA,
  (d) maintain relations with the administration
  and faculty advisor, and (e) assign a temporary
  replacement to provide in place of the President
  in any case of absence.

SEMAs Purpose

• The purpose of SEMA is to provide
  undergraduate students at The University of Texas
  at Austin with the opportunity to develop their
  interests in the business aspects of the sports,
  entertainment, and media industries. In
  addition, SEMA will integrate members through
  social interaction, community service, and
  professional development.

media (broadcast, digital, gaming, etc.) domain.
Objective We will be seeking to network with
companies and individuals in the media industry
and bring them in to connect with UT students.

• The Vice-President of Marketing shall (a) expose
  the organization to the university and public
  through emails, communication, press releases,
  posters, flyers, and any other form of publicity,
  and (b) handle all secretarial duties for the
  organization, including keeping track of
  membership, preparing agendas, and taking
  minutes.

  flyers, brochures, etc.
• Enjoy recruiting and exposing the university and
  public to SEMA!

• Establish relationships with other UT
  organizations that have similar interests/goals
• Plan joint social and professional events
• Promote the SEMA name, gain positive recognition
  across campus
• Oversee community service events/director

VP of Finance Lori Blackwell

• The Vice-President of Finance shall (a) act as
  custodian of the funds of the organization,
  collect dues, and give financial reports, (b)
  organize fundraising events for the chapter, and
  (c) raise money through corporate sponsorship for
  the organization.

• The Vice-President of Networking acts as a social
  chair for the organization, and coordinates and
  manage logistics for all social events and
  meetings.

• To help create a weekly or monthly (undecided as
  of now) newsletter that will be distributed to
  members at meetings. The newsletter will contain
  branch updates, important calendar dates and
  events and other newsworthy items.
