Background

• 1st year focus was on building an ontology
  construction tool, that work is now over
• Our aim now is to develop temporal and spatial
  mining tools for exploring network connectivity
  data
• Tools should answer important question that are
  relevant to national ISP decision makers

The converging development paths

• Coarse grain data analysis
• Aggregate properties of the network, including
  pruning
• Fine grain data analysis
• Enriching the data by obtaining extra information
  about AS geographical locations from RIR
  databases
• Drawing the a picture of the internet from
  multiple perspectives
