Achievements in the project
  • Partner Nr. 37 Latvian Museum of Natural
    History, Environmental Interpretation Service
    Coordination Centre (VITILA)
  • has started the project with the planned
    activities from September 2004 - MS1 and has
  •  organised seminar How environmental interpreter
    can organise small and cheap exhibition, panel
    discussions
  •  developed interactive exposition Environmental
    education step to sustainable development
  •  published a pamphlet Latvian Fossil Fishes as
    an educational material for the public to take
    active part in interactive environmental
    interpretation courses visiting Geological
    Division in the Museum.

    School
  • has started the project with the planned
    activities from MS1
  • published an informative newsletter Green
    thinking and daily activities for schools,
    Kuldiga and Kuldiga region inhabitants.

    work with children and students.

  • Partner Nr. 37 Latvian Museum of Natural History
    and VITILA has organised
  • workshop with the guest teacher Dr. Lars Wohlers
    from Germany. The topic of the workshop was
    environmental interpretation to learn about
    German experience and share Latvian experience,
    obtain new methods and skills
  • regional seminar in Kurzeme Basic principles of
    Environmental Interpretation. The main aim of
    the seminar was to inform about the Eagle project
    and introduce the basic principles of
    environmental interpretation participants from
    different institutions related to environmental
    protection and tourism development
  • video spot Trip with environmental interpreter
    has been shown on TV. Environmental Film Studio
    has visited one of the environmental interpreters
    in Ledurgas Dendrological Park and produced 13
    min long video spot about nature protection and
    different activities, what visitors could
    experience in Ledurgas Dendrological Park.
