• All the librarians must be ready to answer the
  question and consult or direct the users to
  librarian who is responsible for particular
  subject.

KMU PDB

• KMU publications DB contains over 71 000 records
  of publications of KMU staff monographs,
  scientific articles, patents, reports, textbooks,
  etc. Free access. In 2007 year 2279 entries.
• All publications of all personnel of KMU since
  1950.
• Search by author, titles, keywords.

KMU science publications DB

• KMU PDB part of joint Lithuanian PDB, launched
  in 2001. Approx. 200000 publications (2008 05
  16).
• It is possible to prepare the lists of
  publications by author, department, kind of
  publication, research area, etc. Aim for
  certifications, reports, evaluation of
  publications, etc.
• Access with user name and password for authors
  and for responsible persons only.

KMU science publications DB

• Users can make the reports (statistical or
  simple) by themselves.
• Users ask the librarian to make the reports and
  print them or send by e-mail they trust the
  librarian much more than themselves.
• The publications report list for certification
  must be signed by responsible librarian/deputy
  director. In 2007 year - 736 lists were printed
  and 204 were sent by e-mail.

• Submission of KMU e. Masters theses and Doctoral
  dissertations to ETD IS was launched in 2005.

Interlibrary loan

• Interlibrary loan isnt information service, but
• Users search for full-text articles absently.
• Users are sure, they have done everything they
  could do by themselves.
• I have no time to search for full-text, let this
  task be done by librarian!
• Each inaccurate request gives the library
  additional money
