• The designs the monks make are usually made out
  of sand.
• These designs represent a calm world.

Whats Special About a Mandala?

• A Mandala is very brightly colored.
• A Mandala uses organic (curved lines and found
  in nature) and geometric (straight lines,
  triangles, squares, rectangles) shapes.
• The Mandala uses patterns. Can you point out
  one?
• The Mandala has radial balance, which means no
  matter how you cut it, its symmetrical.
