cues, you respond to the feelings.
Encouragement Conveying belief in the childs
ability to solve his own problem.
Limit Setting 1. Acknowledge the childs
feelings or desire to do something unacceptable.
2. Firmly set the limit on the behavior. 3.
Verbally provide an acceptable alternative.
