• Provide relevant, authoritative information and
  knowledge to support staff, faculty, researchers,
  fellows and alumni with their research and to
  enhance cooperation by establishing working
  relationships with international libraries in the
  Asia Pacific region.
• Provide exceptional customer service, building a
  culture of leaders who can adjust to change and
  lead change throughout the Asia-Pacific region.

  Different modules for circulation and catalog.
  Learned how to use the serials module.
• Circulation charged and discharged materials.
• Copy Cataloging downloaded records into SIRSI
  and editing records for APCSS catalog.

What I Learned

• Things are always changingdo not get too
  comfortable.
• Circulation and copy cataloging.
• Work in a federal/military library
• Overall operations of a library budgeting,
  marketing, planning, public relations, etc.

Janets Internship

• Opportunity to work in a quality organization.
• Opportunity to work in a quasi-military
  environment gain exposure to military thinking,
  military style of management and operations at a
  high level.
• Satisfied my objectives to refine what it is I
  enjoy in librarianshipresearch and reference.

• Russians failed to develop the Far East as
  anything but a military installation. Far East is
  almost the size of continental United States. It
  is a vast, sparsely populated storehouse of
  natural resources.
