Climate

• The climate of a swamp is usually damp and
  muggy.
• The temperatures range from 55 degrees Celsius
  to 85 degrees Celsius.
• A swamps water has a pH of approximately 7.2.

Human Devastation

• Humans harvest valuable lumber from swamps.
• Nutrient-rich soils present in swamps cause then
  to be drained and cleared for agriculture and
  other development.
• Over 70 of the nations floodplain forest swamps
  have been lost.
