ALUMNI?

• What does Alumni mean?
• Webster one who has graduated from a particular
  school, college, or university
• In our case it includes graduates of College of
  the North Atlantic and our predecessors
• Launching Alumni Chapters in Newfoundland and
  Labrador where we have a CNA Campus

The Alumni Association

• Welcome!
• As a graduate you are an automatic member
• Access to benefits and services
• Many CNA staff are alumni
• Estimate approximately 100, 000 (one fifth of
  Newfoundland and Labrador population) are CNA
  graduates
• Have an electronic database of 2500 alumni with
  whom we maintain regular contact

The Alumni Association

• Supported by the Office of Alumni and Advancement
• Responsible for building an Alumni Association
  and building partnerships within the community
  and industry to benefit the college, students and
  graduates
• Staff consists of a Manager and Alumni and
  Advancement Officer
• Alumni Association
• Open to all graduates, faculty and staff
• No membership fees
• Launched in February 2005
• Is College and Province wide
• Goal chapter in every community where we have a
  campus
• Then will expand to key cities where we have
  pockets of Alumni living and working

  tour), Annual Alumni Dinner (fall), winter event
  (suggestion professional development)

• Alumni Office has developed a Chapter Handbook to
  help volunteers in developing their chapter
• Will assist in promoting your alumni events
• Would like to see a minimum of two alumni events
  per year per chapter
