Myths Chinese Whispers

• If you find eggs or nits you need to treat
• A conditioner is good for detecting headlice
• Headlice can hop from one person to another
• Vinegar or Lemon Juice will remove nits by
  dissolving the glue.
• Teatree Oil and Lavender Oil will kill headlice
• A legless louse is an eggless louse
• One treatment is always sufficient

USE A SPECIAL DETECTION COMB TO SPOT LICE
EARLY-HOW DO I SPOT LICE? -(1) Dampen the hair
thoroughly(2) Make sure there is good
lighting(3) Comb the hair with an ordinarv comb

• (4) USING THE SPECIAL DETECTION COMB
• Begin at the top of the head -
• and making sure that the comb is touching the
  scalp -
• comb slowly towards the end of the hair onto a
  clean sheet of white paper.
• (5) Check the teeth of the comb carefully.
• ( 6) REPEAT steps 4 and 5, working your way
  around the head.
• (7) IF YOU FIND LICE, OR SOMETHING YOU ARE UNSURE
  ABOUT,
• STICK IT IN THE BOX ABOVE WITH CLEAR STICKY TAPE
  AND
• TAKE IT TO THE PHARMACIST WHO GAVE YOU THE
  SPECIAL COMB.

Mosaic Method

• Detect live lice and contacts
• Supply 2x50ml Malathion
• Apply as directed
• Wet comb and check size of lice
• 1 week later - second treatment
• If resistant use second line treatment Phenothrin
• If fails refer to Doctor - Carbaryl
