Hobas Pipe
HOBAS (CCFRPM) Pipes are centrifugally cast,
glass-fiber-reinforced, polymer mortar. These
large diameter pipes are ideally suited for
nearly all corrosive piping applications. HOBAS
pipes may be installed in a variety of
installation methods.
HOBAS pipes can be economically designed for
non-pressure and pressure service by varying the
quantity, placement, and orientation of the
glass-fiber reinforcements.

Hobas Pipe
Large diameter fiberglass pipes from 18 inch to
110 inch diameter are available. Lengths up to
20 feet can be manufactured.
14
Hobas Pipe
Hobas Pipe can be designed for the following
installation methods Direct Bury Sliplining
Microtunneling
Jacking Above Ground
15
Hobas USA manufactures couplings and fittings
from high quality materials. The FWC coupling
is a structural filament wound coupling with a
watertight EPDM membrane.
16
Products
Each joint of Hobas pipe includes a factory
assembled FWC coupling on one end for efficient
installation of pipe sections.
17
Hobas FWC Couplings are designed per the
requirements of ASTM D4161. They offer reliable
performance and zero leakage and are design for
the following installation services Di

21
L.F. Manufacturing has been building quality
fiberglass reinforced manholes, manhole liners,
wetwells and wetwell liners since 1982 utilizing
chop and filament winding equipment.
22
Products
L.F. Manufacturing offers fiberglass manholes
from 24 inch diameter through 14 foot diameter.
Depths up to 40 foot are available. Greater
depths can be custom fabricated.
23
Monolithic or sectional manholes can be custom
fabricated with a variety of pipe connections
including PVC or FRP Stubouts Flexible
Boots Inserta Tee Fittings
24
Products
Fiberglass manholes by LFM are designed and
manufactured to meet or exceed all ASTM D3753
standard specifications. In addition to
complying with all ASTM standards, our fiberglass
manholes carry an H-20 load rating. LFMs
products are engineered to provide you with long
and trouble-free service.
25
Fiberglass manholes by LFM are an excellent
economical value. Our fiberglass manholes are
light-weight, greatly reducing delivery and
installation costs. Due to the non-corrosive
nature of LFM's fiberglass manholes, repair
and replacement costs are reduced as well.
26
Advantage
Together, L.F. Manufacturing and Hobas Pipe USA
have developed a complete pipe to manhole system
using Hobas pipe and LFM fiberglass manholes.
Years of expertise and engineering knowledge make
LFM and Hobas an excellent choice when specifying
a complete system.
27
Advantage
LFM and Hobas USA offer three basic types of
manhole and pipe packages LFM Saddle Type

Watertight Manhole
32
Advantages
Monolithic design is easy to transport and
install. Pipe to pipe connection. Hobas Pipe
with FWC Couplings and LFM fiberglass inverts
allow for watertight connection and continuous
flow. LFM riser with monolithic cone section
transitions to fit the manhole ring and
cover. Field proven design. Optimal for pipe
diameters less than 48.

Fiberglass Riser w/ FWC Coupling
34
Advantages
Sectional design allows for faster pipe
installation. Riser connects to Hobas Tee Base
section with watertight FWC Coupling. Continuous
flow through Hobas Pipe and Tee sections. LFM
riser with monolithic cone section transitions to
fit ring and cover. Field proven design.

35
Quality Assurance
Both LFM Hobas Pipe are committed to providing
the highest quality fiberglass products.

Each company incorporates comprehensive in-plant
testing and quality control programs. This
insures complete and consistent workmanship.
Testing procedures include wall thickness
reports, raw material analysis, continuous
chemical analysis, stiffness testing, deflection
characteristics and mechanical properties tests.
36
Quality Assurance
Commitment to providing fast dependable service
from design to delivery is a priority. Dedicated
field service technicians. In-house CAD
departments. Machine and computer controlled
manufacturing processes.

42
Fiberglass Wetwells
When considering fiberglass as a solution for
sanitary sewer manholes and pipe systems, it is a
good time to consider fiberglass as a solution
for wetwells, lift stations and valve
pits. Fiberglass provides long service life and
ease of installation due to leak-free monolithic
construction.

43
Advantage

LFM builds fiberglass wetwells to your specified
dimensions with standard diameters from 24
inches through 15 1/2 feet. Depths are
available from 2 feet through 40 feet. Greater
depths can be custom fabricated.
44

Fiberglass wetwells can be built complete with
pipe connections for pump discharge, vent,
conduit and inlet lines. This helps decrease
overall installation time.
45

Due to the turbulent flow conditions in a pump
station system, LFM recommends that the first
manhole outside of the pump station be
constructed of a non-corrosive durable material
such as fiberglass.
46

Fiberglass wetwell and fiberglass manhole ready
to be installed.
47

Fiberglass wetwell compete with discharge
connections, conduit connections, drop inlet
connection, vent connection and hatch opening.
48

Our fiberglass wetwells are built to meet or
exceed the requirements of ASTM Specification
D3753. LFM strives to supply its customers with
the highest quality fiberglass wetwells available
on the market today.
