Cell Values
NMC is a Cell Church. We provide small Christian
Communities for all who worship with us within
the life of the church. These small groups or
'cells' are the building blocks of this church.
They are where we learn from each other about
Jesus Christ who is the centre of our lives. The
church and the 'cells' share a set of values-

Cell Values

• 1. Jesus at the centre - We put a priority on
  knowing Jesus and growing in His way of living.
• 2. Church is a community - the church is not
  about a building or an organisation but a group
  of people seeking the Way of Jesus.
• 3. Every member maturing - we seek healing of
  past hurts and our growth in Christ.
• 4. Everyone in ministry - Ministry is not what
  one person 'up front' does - we seek to support
  and enable all in our community to discover their
  gifts and learn how to use them.
• 5. Everyone involved in witness - As Christians
  we believe our faith is worth sharing.

• The calling of the Methodist Church is to respond
  to the gospel of God's love in Christ and to live
  out its discipleship in worship and mission.
• Worship in the Methodist Church is expressed in
  many ways.
• In worship the Church
• gives praise to God in Christ through the Holy
  Spirit
• opens itself to God's transforming love
• receives and reflects on the gospel of God's ways
  in the world
• offers itself to share in God's costly action in
  the world.

• Methodism endorses many dimensions and methods of
  Christian mission. In particular it affirms that
  mission includes
• telling the good news of Jesus
• calling people to faith in Jesus Christ and to
  Christian discipleship
• caring for individual people and communities
• sharing the task of education and social and
  spiritual development
• struggling for a just world
• being alongside the poor
• becoming friends with people of different
  cultures and faiths
• caring for the earth
• building partnerships with other churches and
  other groups who share some of our mission aims.

Membership Requirements

• Here are the essentials to becoming a full church
  member
• That you are born-again (John 33)
• That you have been baptised (John 35 Romans
  63-4)
• That you confess that Jesus Christ is Lord
  (Romans 109)
• That you believe that God raised Him from the
  dead (Romans 109)
• That you are willing to be a witness for Him (1
  Timothy 18)
• That you are prepared to give God your time,
  talents and regular giving through the local
  church (Luke 1433)
• That you will have regular fellowship with your
  fellow Christians (Hebrews 1025)
