CURRENT TRENDS
  • Increasing population of non-traditional students
  • Students have different objectives
  • degree
  • certificate
  • professional development
  • Students have wide variety of backgrounds
  • note that we offer courses in over 60 locations
  • Students have different needs to know
  • one topic may be more important now than another
  • Students may need to know parts from different
    courses to support them professionally
  • Students may have different learning styles and
    abilities
  • some can learn specific material faster than
    others

11
In short, there is a shift from seeking degrees
to seeking Learning
  • Learning encompasses
  • Training
  • Education
  • Performance Mentoring

  • Communication Across Cultures
  • THEN CHOOSE ONE MORE..
  • International Business Operations
  • Sustainable Development
  • World Resources

Internship in Global Engineering
  • Our Global Engineering Cluster and Minor Provide
    you with
  • an understanding of the interconnected context
    of global markets, transnational corporate
    operations, and global technology standards
  • an understanding of the global nature of natural
    resources and their protection
  • exposure to various international regulatory
    bodies and standards
  • Global Engineering gives you the knowledge to
work productively in an environment that
    encompasses different cultures,business
    practices, resources,communications, and

  • DEGREE STRUCTURE
  • Each institution guarantees a specific
engineering specialization offered in English in
    a given semester
  • Students must take specialization semesters at
    two institutions (24 credit hours)
  • Students must do comprehensive project at any of
    the institutions (6 credit hours)
  • ODU will award Master of Engineering to any
student who does a specialization semester at ODU
  • In addition to any M.Sc. Degree awarded by
    partner institutions
  • Thus, in some cases, students will be awarded
both a U.S. and European degree

  • ODU students will be treated as local INHEE
    students
  • In most cases, ODU students will not pay tuition
while studying at an INHEE institution
