ITCC Mission Statement
  • To discuss and review transportation
    coordination issues and address institutional
    and/or regulatory barriers to coordination to
    provide the most public transportation with the
    effective use of public investment.

United We Ride
  • Federal United We Ride campaign provided the
    ITCC with funding to hold a series of workshops
    around the state on the benefits of
    transportation coordination.

Structure of public transit services

  • Public transportation allows Iowans the
    opportunity to contribute to their community and
    supports their efforts to work and live
    independently.

  • Iowa is served by 35 public transit systems
  • 19 urban transit systems
  • 16 multi-county regional transit systems
  • More than 23 million rides are provided annually
