• Played the trumpet
• With the Karnofskys's help, he bought an old,
  beaten up cornet (a type of trumpet) so he could
  learn how to play an instrument When Louis was in
  third grade, he dropped out of school and stopped
  working for the Karnofskys. He spent his days
  roaming the streets with other boys. Dixieland to
  more modern styles. Died July 6, 1971, Queens,
  New York, he died in his sleep.
