INTRODUCTION

• The proposal envisages issuing Smart Card to all
  the members of the club

Present System

• The member is identified by the account number
  which is allotted
• The member writes the account number and sign the
  slips to pay for the services
• The slips are sent to the accounts department
  where they are posted in the respective ledger
  account

• The monthly bill will be sent to the member
• The payment received is posted to the ledger
  account
• Monthly overdue statement is taken out from the
  ledger and reminders are sent

ALTERNATIVE-SMART CARD

• Smart Card will be issued in lieu of present
  membership card
• The details present in the membership card will
  be written to the Smart Club Card

SYSTEM AT WORK

• AT the reception \ card issuing point, a Card
  Issuing System would be installed in the computer
• The cards will be electronically personalised
  with the Personal Identification Number (PIN)
• The card surface will also have the Club
  logo,Card holders Name,Photograph and other
  particulars

• While issuing the card additional particulars can
  also be keyed in Viz. Dependents, Facilities that
  can be availed, etc.,

SOLUTION

• When the member enters the club the Smart Card is
  inserted into the reader at the entrance \
  reception
• The card holder is identified and a record of the
  entry is made in the database
• When a member avails any of the facilities in the
  club the attendant presents a hand held reader
  with the amount keyed in.
• The member will inserts the card and enters his
  PIN

Solution

• The reader authenticates the card and if wrong
  PIN is keyed in, the card is rejected and
  transaction processing will be stopped
• At this time receipts can also be printed and
  given to the member

• The reader stores all transactions done on them
  which are downloaded to a central database at pre
  determined intervals
• This updates all records of the club
• The reader also stores a list of defaulters, if
  any.

• The same card can be used for availing locker
  facility, pay game fees, purchases etc
• Guests can be given stored value cards for use of
  the services in the club

• On special occasions and events the club instead
  of using coupons can issue fixed value cards to
  members or existing cards can be used on credit
  basis

Reconciliation

• At the end of the day, data from each reader will
  be down loaded to the main computer. The computer
  will update the account balance for each member
  and prints the monthly bills.
• All queries can be settled by scanning the card
