Title: God has given us strong bulwarks for our good.
1God has given us strong bulwarks for our good.
- When God provides then it is sufficient! (Ps
6810-12, 18-19)
2God has given us strong bulwarks for our good.
- Psalm 6810-12 (NKJV) - Your congregation dwelt
in it You, O God, provided from Your goodness
for the poor. 11 The Lord gave the word Great
was the company of those who proclaimed it 12
Kings of armies flee, they flee, And she who
remains at home divides the spoil.
3God has given us strong bulwarks for our good.
- Psalm 6818-19 (NKJV) - You have ascended on
high, You have led captivity captive You have
received gifts among men, Even from the
rebellious, That the LORD God might dwell there.
19 Blessed be the Lord, Who daily loads us with
benefits, The God of our salvation! Selah
4God has given us strong bulwarks for our good.
- Our greatest need is to see life as God does.
5God has given us strong bulwarks for our good.
- When we do that, then we will understand our need
of help and our need of teaching.
6God has given us strong bulwarks for our good.
- When we do that, then we will understand our need
of help and our need of teaching. - Satan is also aware of Gods provisions and works
hard to deny men access.
7God has given us strong bulwarks for our good.
- When we do that, then we will understand our need
of help and our need of teaching. - Satan is also aware of Gods provisions and works
hard to deny men access. - Satan cannot defeat Gods word once implanted in
the heart. (1 Jn 214)
8God has given us strong bulwarks for our good.
- 1 John 214 (NKJV) - I have written to you,
fathers, Because you have known Him who is from
the beginning. I have written to you, young men,
Because you are strong, and the word of God
abides in you, And you have overcome the wicked
one.
9God has given us strong bulwarks for our good.
- Satan tries successfully to deny men access. (Lk
811-12 2 Cor 43-4)
10God has given us strong bulwarks for our good.
- Luke 811-12 (NKJV) - Now the parable is this
The seed is the word of God. 12 Those by the
wayside are the ones who hear then the devil
comes and takes away the word out of their
hearts, lest they should believe and be saved.
11God has given us strong bulwarks for our good.
- 2 Corinthians 43-4 (NKJV) - But even if our
gospel is veiled, it is veiled to those who are
perishing, 4whose minds the god of this age has
blinded, who do not believe, lest the light of
the gospel of the glory of Christ, who is the
image of God, should shine on them.
12God has given us strong bulwarks for our good.
- Sadly, many Christians let Satan deny them access
to the bulwark of a godly home. This has always
been a curse for Gods people.
(Judges 27-12)
13God has given us strong bulwarks for our good.
- Judges 27-12 (NKJV) - So the people served the
LORD all the days of Joshua, and all the days of
the elders who outlived Joshua, who had seen all
the great works of the LORD which He had done for
Israel. 8 Now Joshua the son of Nun, the servant
of the LORD, died when he was one hundred and ten
years old.
14God has given us strong bulwarks for our good.
- 9 And they buried him within the border of his
inheritance at Timnath Heres, in the mountains of
Ephraim, on the north side of Mount Gaash. 10
When all that generation had been gathered to
their fathers, another generation arose after
them who did not know the LORD nor the work which
He had done for Israel.
15God has given us strong bulwarks for our good.
- 11 Then the children of Israel did evil in the
sight of the LORD, and served the Baals 12 and
they forsook the LORD God of their fathers, who
had brought them out of the land of Egypt and
they followed other gods from among the gods of
the people who were all around them, and they
bowed down to them and they provoked the LORD to
anger.

- Matthew 2025-28 (NKJV) - But Jesus called them
to Himself and said, You know that the rulers of
the Gentiles lord it over them, and those who are
great exercise authority over them. 26 Yet it
shall not be so among you but whoever desires to
become great among you, let him be your servant.
27 And whoever desires to be first among you, let
him be your slave
18The Home is a place of serving
- 28 just as the Son of Man did not come to be
served, but to serve, and to give His life a
ransom for many.
19The Home is a place of serving
- The world cannot understand the value of denying
self.

kind of leader? (Eph 523-25)
25The Home is a place of serving
- Ephesians 523-25 (NKJV) - For the husband is
head of the wife, as also Christ is head of the
church and He is the Savior of the body. 24
Therefore, just as the church is subject to
Christ, so let the wives be to their own husbands
in everything. 25 Husbands, love your wives, just
as Christ also loved the church and gave Himself
for her,
26The Home is a place of serving
- If things are not going well in my home, the buck
stops with me!
27The Home is a place of serving

stops with me! - A good leader must listen and find the real needs
of those under him.
28The Home is a place of serving
- If things are not going well in my home, the buck
stops with me! - A good leader must listen and find the real needs
of those under him. - Have you ever worked for a boss that would not
listen?
29The Home is a place of serving
- If things are not going well in my home, the buck
stops with me! - A good leader must listen and find the real needs
of those under him. - Have you ever worked for a boss that would not
listen? - What is your mate struggling with right now? Do
you have a plan to help and provide?

servant are you?

of serving. (Eph 533)

one of you in particular so love his own wife as
himself, and let the wife see that she respects
her husband.
33The Home is a place of serving
- Some have been overcome by depression and have
become ego-centered. The whole world revolves
around their personal needs.
34The Home is a place of serving
- Some have been overcome by depression and have
become ego-centered. The whole world revolves
around their personal needs. - Have we forgotten this goal?
35The Home is a place of serving
- Some have been overcome by depression and have
become ego-centered. The whole world revolves
around their personal needs. - Have we forgotten this goal?
- Ask yourself some serious questions.
36The Home is a place of serving
- Some have been overcome by depression and have
become ego-centered. The whole world revolves
around their personal needs. - Have we forgotten this goal?
- Ask yourself some serious questions.
- Some do things in entering their marriage that
makes this goal unlikely.
37The Home is a place of teaching
- The primary teaching of my children is done in
the home. (Deut 67-10 Eph 64)
38The Home is a place of teaching
- Deuteronomy 67-10 (NKJV) - You shall teach them
diligently to your children, and shall talk of
them when you sit in your house, when you walk by
the way, when you lie down, and when you rise up.
8You shall bind them as a sign on your hand, and
they shall be as frontlets between your eyes. 9
You shall write them on the doorposts of your
house and on your gates.
39The Home is a place of teaching
- 10 So it shall be, when the LORD your God brings
you into the land of which He swore to your
fathers, to Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, to give
you large and beautiful cities which you did not
build,
40The Home is a place of teaching
- Ephesians 64 (NKJV) - And you, fathers, do not
provoke your children to wrath, but bring them up
in the training and admonition of the Lord.
41The Home is a place of teaching
- There are great things that can be taught in a
bible class that meets twice a week. Sadly, that
is where many children learn what they will learn.
42The Home is a place of teaching
- There are great things that can be taught in a
bible class that meets twice a week. Sadly, that
is where many children learn what they will
learn. - Many raised in the church have learned from the
assemblies alone. The church must not supplant
the home!
43The Home is a place of teaching
- Many within the church do not posses a biblical
faith and therefore do not know how to instill
it.
44The Home is a place of teaching
- God has no grandchildren. How often do you talk
with your children about the nature of God? (Heb
116, Josh 46-9)
45The Home is a place of teaching

impossible to please Him, for he who comes to God
must believe that He is, and that He is a
rewarder of those who diligently seek Him.
46The Home is a place of teaching
- Joshua 46-9 (NKJV) - that this may be a sign
among you when your children ask in time to come,
saying, What do these stones mean to you? 7
Then you shall answer them that the waters of the
Jordan were cut off before the ark of the
covenant of the LORD when it crossed over the
Jordan, the waters of the Jordan were cut off.
And these stones shall be for a memorial to the
children of Israel forever.
47The Home is a place of teaching
- 8 And the children of Israel did so, just as
Joshua commanded, and took up twelve stones from
the midst of the Jordan, as the LORD had spoken
to Joshua, according to the number of the tribes
of the children of Israel, and carried them over
with them to the place where they lodged, and
laid them down there.
48The Home is a place of teaching
- 9 Then Joshua set up twelve stones in the midst
of the Jordan, in the place where the feet of the
priests who bore the ark of the covenant stood
and they are there to this day.

to our home.
51The Home is a place to heal and to grow
- We need a place to go to be built up when we are
hurting. If I was hurting I would call out for
daddy or mama!

had human fathers who corrected us, and we paid

in subjection to the Father of spirits and live?
10 For they indeed for a few days chastened us as
seemed best to them, but He for our profit, that
we may be partakers of His holiness.
61The Home is a place to heal and to grow
- 11 Now no chastening seems to be joyful for the
present, but painful nevertheless, afterward it
yields the peaceable fruit of righteousness to
those who have been trained by it.

- Have we forgotten this purpose of the home?

with quietness, Than a house full of feasting

- John 844 (NKJV) - You are of your father the
devil, and the desires of your father you want to
do. He was a murderer from the beginning, and
does not stand in the truth, because there is no
truth in him. When he speaks a lie, he speaks
from his own resources, for he is a liar and the
father of it.
78The Home is an introduction to God
- Do you have these kinds of conversations with
your children? Do you ever talk about the

come from?
