Broad Objectives of the Project

• Develop institutional and technical capacity for
  CDM Implementation
• Raise level of awareness among population to
  support implementation of UNFCCC and CDM

• Sensitization of Government sensitizing people
  in public, private and civil society
• Good understanding of opportunities under CDM -
  can minimize negative attitudes to CDM projects

  at various stages (CDM fact sheet under final
  editing, materials on UNFCCC and Kyoto Protocol
  editing of first draft).

Capacity Development

• Some capacity at technical level has been built
  through activities of the project (workshops both
  development of institutional framework and formal
  training workshops and meetings (Uganda
  Investment authorities)
• Capacity of legislators and DNA board member is
  pending approval of DNA and/or development of
  draft legislation.

Future Plans

• Sensitizing
• Complete development and printing of materials
• Extract and develop messages and develop suitable
  carriers (posters, calendars or ad supplements)
  and
• Carry out detailed briefing for targeted groups
  (legislators, DNA board members).

  parliamentary committees)
