Enclosure building practice
  • Enclosure and door frame Work
  • based upon aluminum profiles
  • Walls, floor and roof
  • based on multiple choices of sandwich panels
  • Profiles and panel structure provide
  • Complete enclosure dimension flexibility
  • Extreme enclosure protection flexibility
  • Low weight
  • Flexible positioning of integrated equipment
  • Exceptionally high stiffness strength

8
Enclosure building practice
  • The dimension (W x L x D) of the enclosure is
adjusted by cutting the profiles and panels to
    desired length
  • A Corner joint supports the profiles and seals
the corner so that it becomes waterproof
  • The Corner joint can be integrated with lifting
devices in the top of the enclosure

Enclosure building practice
  • Core panel material
  • Expendable Polystyrene Insulation (XPS)
  • Properties
  • Very high insulating effect
  • Sound and moisture proof
  • Self-extinguishing properties
  • Contains no harmful chemical substances and is
    therefore safe for humans.

  • there is a certain heat load capacity
  • Example
  • Ambient ta35 degree
  • Internal temp to climate unit tr 50

Case Description - SBE Nortel Case
FY04 Sales will be 8 M at 25 GP Existing
Outdoor Battery Solution from Hendry at 3000
per piece. (Double skin fans filter.) Henrik
Schubert (RSC) and Klas Hedberg (GSC) made a
study and presented a Solution from Emerson 2002
at a 30 lower price. Enabled by single skin,
Peltierinsulation-based solution. Nortel Calgary
bought in and we developed the Solution. Developme
nt cost was 500 k Manufactured in Ironton , USA
39
Case Description Orange Roadside
Orange had an APW Solutions with free ventilation
to suit 2kW 2G BTS. Now they needed higher
cooling capacity to include 3kW 3G BTS. We
quoted our High Capacity Solution against APW and
Invensys 2003. Invensys and our solutions were
tested and we won technically and on price. This
is our first GSP project win. Orange have
forecasted 500 pcs per annum which corresponds
to 2,5 M per year. Deliveries from Nove Mesto
will start in June - July 04.

  • MU Croatia
  • Global Solution Centre (GSC) and Regional
Solution Centre EMEA (RSC/EMEA) is preparing a
customer prototype for an Outdoor Battery
Enclosure based on the new Global Solution
    Platform (GSP).
  • The specification is made by MU HR and the
prototype will be showed to customer (Vipnet) at
the end of April beginning of May
  • The application is to extend the battery capacity
of existing Ericsson GSM Outdoor Enclosures.

Success Case MetroBox
  • Claudio Maghini Case
  • H3Gs problem was high cost of foot print in
    metropolitan areas combined with permits.
  • The MetroBox have been approved by H3G and the
first deliveries (5-10 units) are planned for in
    May.
  • H3G choose the MetroBox because of the low visual
impact (they can us the MetroBox in airports,
train stations and densely populated areas) and
the small foot print will save H3G 30 rent
    money for space.
  • Value for MU IT is 1-2M/year for the next coming
    2-3 years.
  • MetroBox is a new, easy, modular solution for
    mobile telecom application which allowed
    equipment housing
  • MetroBox replaces outdoor cabinet independent of
    supplier and application
  • MetroBox allowed telecom equipments in a small
space, specially in urban area, for GSM/GPRS/UMTS
    (W-CDMA) application
  • MetroBox allowed cabinet housing of Macro, Micro
and Pico cell equipments, of remote radio units
(RRU) and also of other main units
  • MetroBox consents easy antennas installation
  • MetroBox is equipped with energy power system,
    integrate cooling system, AC/DC distribution,
    batteries back-up, surge suppression, internal
    cabling and more accessories
  • MetroBox is anti-vandalism cabinet for outdoor
    application
