6
1. In asexual reproduction how many parents are
necessary to produce offspring?
7
2. What might be some benefits to asexual
reproduction?
8
3. How diverse (different) are the offspring of
asexual reproduction?
9
4. Where do the offspring from asexual
reproduction receive all of their genetic
material?
10
Sexual Reproduction
  • Sexual reproduction means that two parents
combine parts of their genetic material.
  • With sexual reproduction, there is usually a male
    and a female.
  • The male contributes a copy of half of his
genetic material and the female contributes a
copy of half of her genetic material.

11
  • The baby that is born is called the offspring.
In a very basic way, offspring get half of their
    traits from each parent.
  • Because of the way the male and female copy their
own genetic material and the way they are
    combined, each offspring is different.
