  • France is located next to Germany, Austria,
    Switzerland, Italy, Spain, Belgium, and
    Luxembourg. France borders the Bay of Biscay and
    The Mediterranean Sea and The English Channel.

  • The Blue in the flag is the symbolism of the
    middle class.

The Eiffel Tower
  • The Eiffel Tower is located in Paris, France.
    Alexandre Eiffel built the Eiffel Tower. The
    building of the Eiffel Tower started on July1,
    1887 and was completed on March 31, 1889.

Alexandre Gustave Eiffel
  •  Alexandre Gustave Eiffel was born on December
    15, 1832 in Dijon, Cote-d' Or , France. Alexandre
    attended the Lycee Royal High School where he
    found class was a waste of time. Eiffel later
    found that he liked history and literature. For
    the last two years of attending Lycee Royal High
    School he studied and graduated with degrees in
    both science and humanities.  He went to Sainte
    Barbe College in Paris where he studied to get
    into The Ecole Polytechnique. To get into The
    Ecole Polytechnigque Eiffel had to take extremely
    hard exams. He was denied entrance to The Ecole
    Polytechnique so he attended Ecole Centrale des
    Arts et Manufactures instead.

Zinedine Zidane
  • Zinédine Zidane was born on June 23,
    1972 in Marseille, France. His parents were
    immigrants from Algeria. Zinédine learned to play
    soccer in the streets of Marseille. At the age of
    fourteen a talent scout spotted him and so became
    his shot at superstardom. In 2001 Zidane joined
    Real Madrid for seventy-eight million Euros and
    signed a four year contract. Zidane scored the
    game winning goal with his weak foot to win the
    2002 UEFA Champions League Final 2-1 against
    Bayer Leverkusen. The next season Real Madrid won
    the Spanish League Title and Zidane was nominated
    and won the FIFA World Player of The Year Award
    for the third time in his career. He also won the
    award in 2000 and 1998. Zidane played his last
    home game against Villarreal CF in a 3-3 draw in
    which he scored his last goal. His teammates wore
    commemorative jerseys saying Zidane 2001-2006
    below the logo. Zidane retired after the 2006
    season.

    in1780 and 1804. Many French people who are
    counted as belonging to the Catholic religion

    France do not attend church regularly or even at
    all.
