4Student of the Week
- Every child will have a chance to be Student of
the Week. This is a chance to bring in items to
show the class and then we have a little
interview session. They may also bring in a
family pet to visit, just make arrangements with
me.
5Weekly Class Work Folder
- Once a week I send home all paper work that we
are finished with. I ask that you review it and
return the folder signed. If you have any
questions just let me know. I treat this as a
homework assignment for the students so if it is
late, it is treated as a late homework
assignment.
6Assignment Book
- The Assignment Book is to be signed every night
for the first two week of school. We take time to
fill it out together at the end of the day. I
give homework daily but usually no homework on
the week-ends or over vacations. I do expect
kids to take home AR books and read when no
homework is given.
7FYI
- Neetz News A note from me goes home weekly
along with the students corrected work. The
work can stay home but the envelope needs to be
signed and returned the next day for a sticker. - Spelling Test Usually on Friday, some from the
book as well as another program I will begin this
year. - Reports/Projects Two weeks from the day it is
given. Usually two a marking period. - Monthly Calendar Activity The due date will be
on it. - Snack Schedule Your child will be assigned to
bring in a snack once a month, you may send it in
early if you like. It is based on his/her class
number. - Student Numbers Kids are assigned a number (I
start from the end of the alphabet for 1). We
have fun with the numbers.
8Sticker Card
You earn stickers by getting a 90 or better on
an assignment, doing a good deed, being prepared,
winning a game, etc
- Fill up the card and turn it in for a REWARD
Stickers can also be taken back for not having
work done on time, not being prepared, talking
out of turn, etc the job of Marshal helps to
monitor this.
