Student of the Week
  • Every child will have a chance to be Student of
the Week. This is a chance to bring in items to
show the class and then we have a little
interview session. They may also bring in a
family pet to visit, just make arrangements with
    me.

5
Weekly Class Work Folder
  • Once a week I send home all paper work that we
are finished with. I ask that you review it and
return the folder signed. If you have any
questions just let me know. I treat this as a
homework assignment for the students so if it is
late, it is treated as a late homework
    assignment.

6
Assignment Book
  • The Assignment Book is to be signed every night
for the first two week of school. We take time to
fill it out together at the end of the day. I
give homework daily but usually no homework on
the week-ends or over vacations. I do expect
kids to take home AR books and read when no
    homework is given.

7
FYI
  • Neetz News A note from me goes home weekly
along with the students corrected work. The
work can stay home but the envelope needs to be
signed and returned the next day for a sticker.
  • Spelling Test Usually on Friday, some from the
book as well as another program I will begin this
    year.
  • Reports/Projects Two weeks from the day it is
given. Usually two a marking period.
  • Monthly Calendar Activity The due date will be
    on it.
  • Snack Schedule Your child will be assigned to
bring in a snack once a month, you may send it in
early if you like. It is based on his/her class
    number.
  • Student Numbers Kids are assigned a number (I
start from the end of the alphabet for 1). We
    have fun with the numbers.

8

You earn stickers by getting a 90 or better on
an assignment, doing a good deed, being prepared,
winning a game, etc

Stickers can also be taken back for not having

out of turn, etc the job of Marshal helps to
monitor this.

Religion
  • The only meal needed! A fulfilling prayer
experience, in which all seconds are free! Also
available will be a scrumptious serving of
sacraments (now thats what I call a seven course
meal). The nutritional value of this meal meets
all spiritual guidelines but it is highly
    recommended to eat often.

18
Melt-in-Your-Mouth Math
  • A mouthwatering meal that includes such numerical
niceties as Fraction Fritters, Geometry Gelatin,
Measurement Meat Loaf, and a scrumptious sampler
of Problem-Solving Pastries. Bet you cant eat
    just one!

19
Wonderful Writing
  • A delectable blend of vocabulary, grammar and
spelling activities, topped with a creamy sauce
    of narrative, persuasive, expository and
descriptive writing. Side dishes include Daily
Language Review (editing) and JED (Journaling
Every Day). Available for take-out in a
    completely basted binder.

20
Literature a la Mode
  • A savory selection of spine-tingling mysteries,
tasty tall tales, appetizing historical fiction
stories, fantastic fantasies, and much more! Sure
to please even the pickiest readers. AR goals
    added at no extra charge.

21
Savory Social Studies
  • Your meal will start with a generous amount of
mapping skills, to be quickly topped with an
excellent selection of famous explorers. A
savoring sauce of States and Capitals will wet
the appetite for nourishment on Native Americans.
Soon to be followed by a crispy collection of
Colonial Times, and deep fried with the American
Revolution. Topping everything off will be
seasoned Civil War stories and a wonderful
    portion of Westward Expansion.

22
Scrumptious Science
  • You wont be able to stop nibbling on these
    heavenly hands-on-experiments or fabulous facts
    about vertebrates, earthquakes, atoms, the
skeletal system and more! Dont forget to check
out the specials listed on the Road Kill Café
    board near the phone.

The end of curriculum, lets move on to
housekeeping?
