LGUs have their own separate ranking of teacher applicants for LSB hiring Require LGUs to hire contractual teachers using the results of DepEds rank list

Lack of qualified applicants for some positions such as SPED, Pre-school, English, Tech Voc and Madrasah teachers, Guidance Counselor No specific criteria for deployment of the Madrasah, Mobile and DOST scholars Discuss with TEC and TEIs Administer competitive exam for new teachers Have a separate criteria for the deployment of these teachers since they are assigned to marginalized areas Give priority to the hiring of locally paid pre-school teachers

Need to review hiring procedures and the criteria for ranking of applicants Include behavior-based interview as part of the hiring process Revise points assigned in the criteria for ranking of applicants
Request for Authority to Fill from the RO takes a long time to be approved Delegate authority to the Division level
