    sure compliance occurs?

  • Be firm and neutral
  • Avoid arguing, logic, or threats
  • Stop and redirect
  • Follow through
  • Use proximity

  • Start with your expectations and choices
  • Ignore the junk and pivot
  • Do not attempt to verbally de-escalate students
    who are already in crisis
  • Remove only as a last resort
  • Refer to county discipline guidelines
  • Teach, teach, teach!
