The Case for Cryptographic Voting

Privacy and Coercion
  • Vote privacy is essential to prevent coercion
  • Computational privacy holds only as long as its
    underlying assumptions
  • Almost all universally verifiable voting schemes
    rely on public-key encryption
  • Belief in privacy violation isenough for

Who can you trust to encrypt?
