What they agreed to
8
The United Nations
  • The Creation of the United Nations, and most
importantly, the Security Council, made up of the
Big Three and eventually China and France.

9
Declaration on Liberated Europe
  • Each agreed, in principle, to a declaration of a
free Europe where states of Europe were to
solve by democratic means their pressing
    political and economic problems.

10
Dismemberment of Germany
  • The United Kingdom, the US, and the USSR agreed
to split up and occupy Germany.
  • The US and UK would eventually cut France in on
    their share of German responsibility.

11
Reparations
  • Money (from Germany) would go to rebuilding the
countries who had suffered most from the war.
  • An initial amount of 20 billion was set as a
    starting point for negotiations.

12
Poland
  • Because Poland had been liberated by the Soviets,
the pro-Soviet government they had installed
    would stay in place.
  • Some members of the original Polish Government,
which had fled to England, would be invited to
    participate until future democratic elections.

13
Japan
  • It was agreed that, within 2-3 months of the
termination of war in Europe, the USSR would
    enter the war against Japan.
