• Follow along as I read a chapter from House on
  Mango Street by Sandra Cisneros titled My Name.
• As I read this chapter, jot down thoughts,
  feelings, questions, quotations, essentially you
  need to annotate this text.
• Be prepared to discuss your analysis.

Your Turn

• Complete the handout analyzing all aspects of
  your name.
• Turn to the person next to you and share your
  writing. Give feedback to each other.
• Choose important elements from parts of your
  fist, middle, and last name and highlight them.
• Compose a poem centered around these elements of
  your FULL name.
• Assignment Due Thursday
• The poem should be typed (you are free to play
  around with fonts and sizes).
• The poem should be at least 25 lines.
