  • Sexually Transmitted Diseases
  • STDs are dangerous
  • STDs may have no symptoms or some that come and
    go.
  • Most STDs can be treated.
  • The body can not build an immunity to an STD
  • All are spread through intimate sexual contact
    with an infected person.
  • THEY CAN BE PREVENTED!!
  • 1- Abstinence
  • 2- Safer Sex (Using protection when
    participating in any type of intimate sexual
    contact.)

    an STD

  • a deadly disease that interferes with the bodys
    natural ability to fight infection
  • HIV (Human Immunodeficiency Virus)
  • the virus that causes AIDS

  • there is no vaccine and NO CURE, it is Fatal!
  • You can be a carrier of HIV without having AIDS.
  • An apparently healthy person who has HIV in the
    blood can pass it on to others.
  • People infected with HIV have the virus for an
    average of 10 years before showing any symptoms
    of AIDS.
  • AIDS is easy to prevent through ABSTINENCE.
