• An adjective is a word that describes/modifies a
  noun or pronoun

EXAMPLES

• A big, red ball

• The cute, huggable puppy

• The tall, green tree

• His huge, sharp teeth

WHAT IS AN ADVERB?

• Adverbs describe/modify verbs.

EXAMPLES

• Jose was quietly going out the door.

• Glendale was torn down slowly.

• Tony spoke slowly.

• Katie jumped high.

JUST EXACTLY WHAT DOES AN ADJECTIVE AND ADVERB DO?

• An adverb tells us when,where,and how about
  verbs, adjectives and even other adverbs

• An adjective describes a noun or pronoun by
  telling which one, what kind or how many

Extremely describes how grumpy David was.

Easily describes how the runner finished the
race.
