Fabric Options

• Cotton
• Soft, absorbent, relatively quick to dry
• Choose organic or unbleached for greater
  environmental benefit
• Bamboo
• Very soft and more absorbent than cotton, but
  takes longer to dry

• Microfibre
• Synthetic, man made fabric
• Very absorbent but extremely quick drying

What do I need?

• 20 nappies and 4 wraps of each size (if using a
  two part system)
• Liners
• Bucket with lid
• Washable wet wipes

How do I use them?

What about nappy rash?

• Nappy rash is caused by the skin being in contact
  with urine and faeces (pee poo)
• It is no more likely to occur in Real Nappies
  than disposables
• Always change babys nappy frequently

• 3 billion disposable nappies are thrown away each
  year in the UK
• Thats 690,000 tonnes of waste going to landfill
  every year
• Each baby will be changed about 4,000 times
  thats a huge pile of disposable nappies or 20
  real nappies used again and again.
