ISSUES TO DISCUSS FOR DEVELOPMENT
  • Further member and officer training.
  • Research and comparative work.
  • Engaging with the community and partners.
  • Promoting our work.
  • Relationships with others I.e. Cabinet/Directors
    Team/Officers/Partners and External Agencies.
  • Need to identify issues of community concern both
    locally and citywide.
  • Continue to develop and build good practice and
    share good practice with other scrutiny
    committees both within and outside the City
    Council.

ISSUES TO DISCUSS FOR DEVELOPMENT
  • Improved focus for the Committees work
  • Need to consider specific issues to look at in
    depth and focus on no more than 1 or 2 issues.
  • What difference is the Scrutiny Committee going
    to make over the next 12 months - focus on
    outcomes when selecting areas and carrying out
    work
  • Select topics that are timely and relevant, but
    not already under review elsewhere
  • Be mindful of the unexpected issues that may
    arise during the Year that may impact on Cttees
    workload
  • Ongoing development of the Committee
