Back ground knowledge
  • There is a baptismal record that states that
    April 26, 1564, is Shakespeares birthday , but
    April 23 is often his celebrated birth date.
  • Stratford Upon Avon in Great Britain is
    Shakespeares birthplace.
  • April 23, 1616, is the date of Shakespeares
    death.
  • William Shakespeares parents names were John
    and Mary Shakespeare. He had seven siblings.
    Their names are Joan, Margaret, Gilbert, Joan,
    Anne, Richard, and Edmund. William married Anne
    Hathaway and had three children Susanna, Hamnet,
    and Judith.
  • Shakespeare attended Stratford grammar school and
    was removed at the age of thirteen due to his
    fathers financial and social troubles.
