Introduction

• Humans have been living on the planet Zolart.
  Happily living side by side with the Zolartians.
  Now, the friendly aliens want to know more about
  our history.
• You and your group have been chosen to teach the
  aliens about black history.

Task

• Each group will decide on an important African
  American in U.S history. Each person in the group
  will chose a topic and create a poster. The
  groups will present their posters to the
  Zolartians.

Process

• Choose the African American your group wants to
  discuss
• Choose several topics to research.
• Create individual posters.
• Three class periods will be given to work on the
  project.

Evaluation

• The Poster (50) For content, accuracy,
  appearance, creativity, and effort.
• The Presentation (50) For expression, clarity,
  and knowledge of the subject.
