What Defines Harassment
  • Harassment may include
  • Posters, cartoons, jokes, comments regarding
    race, age, religion, sex, disability or other
    protected areas.
  • Harassment must be unwanted, the employee must
    inform the other person that they do not want to
    hear, see or experience any of the harassing
    conduct.

What Defines Discrimination
  • Cartoons, Jokes, Slurs, comments, and treatment
    due to ones, race, age, religion, sex or
    disability.
  • Treating one different, because of a protected
    class.

What To Do, If You Are A Victim
  • You must notify either your manager, HR, or the
    employee hotline.
  • You must cooperate with an investigation.
  • You should not publicize your complaint keep it
    confidential as possible.
  • If You do not notify the company, your claim may
    be denied.

What Will Happen With My Complaint
  • The Company will investigate your complaint or
    hire an outside party to conduct the
    investigation.
  • Witnesses will be interviewed.
  • A decision based on the evidence and facts will
    be made and the appropriate action will be
    taken to prevent a re-occurrence of the problem

Will I Lose My Job If I Complain
  • No, if your complaint is valid (i.e. not made up
    to cause another employee problems) You are
    protected.
  • Retaliation is against the law, and your employer
    will not tolerate retaliation from a manager or
    co-worker.
  • If you believe you are being retaliated against
    contact the employee hotline.
