Yellow Ribbon Reintegration Program Background
  • Establishment of Program
  • H.R.110-477 Section 582 of the National Defense
    Authorization Act (NDAA) -08 directs that "The
    Secretary of Defense shall establish a national
    combat veteran reintegration program to provide
    National Guard and Reserve members and their
    Families with sufficient information, services,
    referral, and proactive outreach opportunities
    through the entire deployment cycle. This
    program shall be known as the Yellow Ribbon
    Reintegration Program.
  • Purpose of Program
  • The Yellow Ribbon Reintegration Program shall
    consist of information events and activities for
    members of the reserve components of the Armed
    Forces, their Families, and community agencies to
    facilitate access to services supporting their
    health and well-being through the four phases of
    the deployment cycle (1) Pre-deployment, (2)
    Deployment, (3) Demobilization, and (4)
    Post-deployment reconstitution.
