Let us improve our piety (taqwa) and good deeds
by obeying Allahs entire commands and omitting
all the forbidden.

After a long holiday, our children will be going
back to school. Parents will be happy to see
their children going back to school and hope that
their children will be educated and become a
useful person to the religion, society and nation.

There were once when Caliph Al-Makmun entered the
national library in Baghdad and he saw a boy was
reading a book diligently with a pen pinned in
his ear. The Caliph approached the boy and asked
What is your name?

The boy answered I am a bud (new generations)
that grows in your country, which enjoying with
your blessed and willing to serve you anytime, my
name is Al-Hasan bin Raja. That is a vision of a
boy, to help his leader and in future ready to
contribute to his country.

Blessed muslims, When school season is opened, it
will become a challenge for the childrens and the
parents. For children who have been on holiday
for a long time, they will sure be lazy to get
back to school.

During holiday, they maybe had been carried away
with playing, watching television, resting and so
on. Parents must play their important role to
bring back the spirit of going to school in their
childrens mind.

Children must continuously being supported to
seek knowledge and being a knowledgeable person
because one of the characters for piety people is
always eager to seek knowledge.

Rasulullah s.a.w saysWisdom word (knowledge)
is desired (lost) for the believers, so where
ever they find it, they will grab it.

Blessed muslims, Children are trust of Allah. The
responsibility of parents is not only preparing
food, drinks, cloth and shelter for them but
parents must also provide them knowledge.

Allah s.w.t grants high level and nobility for
those who spend their wealth on their family.
Every dinar or ringgit that has been spent on
their family is as same as spending it for the
sake of Allah and maybe more than that.
Rasulullah s.a.w says

A dinar that you spend to free a slave and a
dinar that give to the poor and a dinar that
spend for your family, the biggest reward is for
what you had spend for your family.

Our government has spent a huge amount of money
from our national income for education. That does
not mean the responsibility to educate our
children is only on government behalf because the
government has their own social responsibility
and parents are responsible for their children.

School is just like a huge gateway. As soon as
our children enter the school gate, they had
entered the education world. Use this opportunity
to inculcate positive spirit in our childrens
mind to acquire knowledge because there will no
nobility for ignorant people.

It has been a responsibility for the muslims to
seek knowledge, free themselves from blindness of
ignorance and seek the truth. Islam grants
nobility for educated persons. Allah s.w.t says
in Al-Quran

Say "Are those who know equal to those who know
not?" it is only men of understanding who will
remember. (Az-Zumar verse 9)

Muslims cannot be separated from finding
knowledge because Islam is a knowledge based
religion. At least as muslim, we must know Fardhu
Ain that is related to our responsible to Allah.

We must learn Fardhu Kifayah because it has
connection to our life in this world and to find
Allahs blessness in the Hereafter.

In other word, as long as we still alive, we must
find knowledge and piety people will not
satisfied with the knowledge that they had
acquired. The more they know, the more they
wanted to seek knowledge. Rasulullah s.a.w says

Piety people will not be contented to find
knowledge that he heard until the end he entered
the heaven.

During this early school season, parents must
assist their children in making determination to
become excel. People without determination are
just like dead people.

Parents must plan for the future of their
children because the parent will determine what
their children will be in future. If we neglected
the planning, we will face the effect and result
in the future.

As the closest person to our children, parents
should motivate their children. This is because
some children did not plan for their future. They
still busy with playing and having fun. So, the
parents must take over and remind them to strive
hard if they want to become an excellent person.

When the children have a vision and being
supported by their parent, they will get victory
and become excellent person. So, parents must
control their children and support them to study
hard.

It will be very good if every parents reminded
their children, give them spirit just like what
Prophet Daud a.s. had done to a student. He said

Say to the learner, he should use his walking
stick and wearing shoes made from iron. And go
out to find knowledge until he broke his walking
stick and his iron shoes.

This have prove that muslims must be serious in
seeking knowledge and dismiss all careless
attitude. This is because on their journey to
find knowledge they will face many challenges and
test before they get their victory.

Parents should give religious (Islamic) lesson to
their children as a guidance to them in their
life. It has become the responsibility of the
parents to give them knowledge on Fardhu Ain that
will enhance their belief, piety, the right way
to perform worship and also it will educate them
to have a good manners.

Parents must educate their children with the
knowledge of Fardhu Ain before they reach
maturity age (Akil Baligh). When the children
have reached this age, they must perform the
religious obligation such as solat (prayer) and
fasting. So, parents must not neglect on giving
religious education (Fardhu Ain) to their
children and not only looking for academic
excellence only.

Blessed muslims, Our children will be our
heritage to rule this country in the future.
Without good knowledge, how can they manage and
develop this country in the future?

Developing country needs more intelligent people.
Because of that our children must be well
equipped with various type of knowledge, so that
they can manage this country with success and
becoming developed country. Saidina Umar r.a.
have give a massage to the youngsters

Before you become a leader, prepare yourself
with knowledge. Imam Bukhari then added And
(seek knowledge continously) after you become a
leader.

That is how important knowledge to us regardless
we are a leader or a citizen. For those who live
in city or village, rich or poor people, all of
us need knowledge to become excel. We will live
perfectly with knowledge and our thought and mind
can be controlled.

Our heritage can be protected. Soul can be take
care. Allah s.w.t has given His promise for those
who find knowledge. Rasulullah s.a.w.
says Anyone who seek knowledge, Allah will
guarantee that his livelihood will be enough.

It will be good during this early school season
if the parents meet with the teacher and give
their children to be educated by the teacher as
were done by previous people. Teachers must be
trusted by parents to educate their children and
parent sometimes assist teacher in educating
their children.

This will not bring tense between parent and
teacher and teacher will deliver their knowledge
with sincerity. Parents must always respect and
give nobility to the teachers. They should be
thankful, give support and also assist the
teachers to educate their children.

So let make this early school season to bring up
our spirit, high determination, clear vision so
that with our effort we manage to create the best
ummah or Khairu Ummah that what we had wish for a
long time.

Let there arise out of you a band of people
inviting to all that is good, enjoining what is
right, and forbidding what is wrong They are the
ones to attain felicity. (Ali-Imran verse
104)

• The most merciful god, we thank you for all the
  mercy and pleasure that you gave so that we can
  enhance and strengthen our Islamic country
  especially Selangor as a developed and peaceful
  country.

  that this country will be more prosperous and
