Shawn Nimau has recently retired from the law enforcement sector. He enjoys fly-fishing in his free time and plans to travel to top fly-fishing destinations throughout the United States and the rest of the world. Shawn Nimau now plans to grow his career in the field of health and safety education.

Shawn Nimau received praise from the Redwood City Police Department by being honored at their 2016 awards ceremony. He was also awarded by LSUA's Fall 2020 Chancellor's list.
