Purpose and Results
- Purpose is experimental
- To look for holes in the specifications
- To look for implementation headaches
- To try things out on different platforms
- Results are everything works so far
- Some tweaks/corrections to packet formats
- Some clarifications to processing rules
- Some clarifications to text

Status
- Whats implemented
- Implemented full GIMPS D-mode exchange
- Implemented GIMPS C-mode negotiation and use
- TCP-Forwards as messaging association protocol
- Nearly all GIMPS objects
- Host and router operation
- Will include legacy routers (using WCCP for
D-mode outsourcing) - IPv4 and (nearly) IPv6 (but no transition)
- Should run on any platform supporting Python
- Currently Linux-based
- Core part of API (NSLPs go in separate processes)
- Not much paranoia or policy configurability yet
- 6-8 weeks work from an NSIS-ignorant standing
