Admission Standards
  • Graduation from an accredited high school.
  • Completion of at least 15 required units in the
    University systems College Preparatory
    Curriculum.
  • Have a Freshman index of at least 1940 with a
    SAT-Verbal of at least 510(ACT 22) and a SAT-Math
    of at least 470(ACT 20), and an academic HSGPA of
    at least 2.0.

Major Electives
  • A minimum of 4 lab courses from anatomy and
    physiology or any other upper level biology lab
    course of the students choosing.
  • 12-13 hours of any upper level biology courses.

Career Opportunities
  • The department of biological and physical
    sciences has been an important educator of
    students destined for graduate school, medical
    school, and other post-baccalaureate programs. In
    addition, the department has successfully
    prepared well-trained graduates who can
    immediately enter the job market.
