10Epistemology
11Epistemology
If knowledge is seen asf2f instruction is seen
as Web-based instruction isa research VLE is
- an amount of content for students
- a product to be delivered static and interactive
text graphics - digital libraries for literature review
12Epistemology
- If knowledge is seen as the result of a tacit
experience - f2f instruction is seen as structured to
accommodate informal, learner managed learning or
work based learning opportunities - Web-based instruction is an online communication
space supporting serendipitous learning - A research VLE is an opportunities research
network opportunities that promote lateral

etc.) - Post-event
- Recordings, reflective debates
19Summary
- Technology should not drive the pedagogy
- Start with the issue / problem to solve then
look at the appropriate tools - Convergence of technology
- Dont think in bi-polar solutions. Use a Digital
Literacy Spectrum approach - Solutions are temporary to the human and ICT
systems at the time
20Critical Debate
- Mind map activities
- Identify the needs of the stakeholders
- Identify human / ICT resources systems
- Change management
- Management Champions
- Future plans
