UK Resilience Programme delivery to schools

• National pilot led by LSE, Sponsored by DCSF
• 3 Local Authorities (Hertfordshire, Manchester
  and South Tyneside)
• 22 schools (6 in Hemel Hempstead)
• 2000 Year 7 pupils in first year
• Small Hertfordshire project with year 6 children
  in public care

Developments 2008

• Evaluation the first year of workshops evaluated
  by researchers at the London Schools of Economics
• Initial report expected
• Training July 2008
• 17 Further teachers from Hertfordshire trained,
  including 1 ESC

Funding Arrangements

• 190,000 CAMHS Grant Slippage
• DCSF funding for evaluation by LSE
• April 2009 250,00 for 3 years from schools
• grant to support roll out of the programme,
  based on evaluation
