The constant flow switch is used in SIMV
Spontaneous Modes. It provides 5-9 lpm of mixed
gas to the reservoir bag, which serves as a gas
source for spontaneous breathing.

The flowmeter provides supplemental gas flow to
the reservoir bag when necessary to meet
inspiratory flow demands. The flow meter should
be adjusted to keep the reservoir bag from
collapsing during inspiration.

To set pressure alarms turn control knob(1). This
knob controls both upper lower pressure limits.

The pressure relief valve determines the maximum
pressure that can be reached in the pt. circuit.
It can be adjusted from 0-100 cm/H20. Clockwise
rotation decreases the pop-off setting.

To administer a aerosol. 1. Hook Nebulizer to
connection. 2. Turn on Nebulizer flow switch.
