The Rainbow Covenant of Baptism!

God spoke to Noah and his son

• I am making a covenant
• with you
• Your descendants
• With every living animal with you
• birds, cattle
• with every living creature that came out of the
  ark
• I establish my covenant with you

Never again will a flood destroy the earth!

And God said

• This is the sign of the covenant for ever
• I set my bow in the clouds
• As a sign of the Covenant with the earth
• In the clouds and it will be a sign
• I will remember the Covenant between me and you
  and every kind of living creature.

Never again will floodwaters destroy all flesh

Second Reading
Jesus For our sake!
1 P 318-22

Christ died for our sins once and for all
the Just one for the unjust to lead us to God

He died ... as humans do
but was raised to life... by the Spirit

A small group escaped through water
To the others... to the imprisoned spirits Jesus
proclaimed his Gospel

That was a type of the BAPTISM that saves
us... gives us a clean conscience and reconciles
us with Jesus

Droved by the Spirit Jesus allowed Satan to tempt
