• What is Geomatics?
• Geomatics Engineering is a rapidly developing
  discipline that focuses on spatial information
• Geomatics Engineering includes the disciplines
  of
• geodesy and geodetic science,
• photogrammetry,
• remote sensing,
• mapping,
• land and geographic information systems,
• spatial computing, computer vision and
• all types of surveying.

• The word 'geomatics' describes the integrated

• display of spatial Earth-related data in digital
  form.
•   It can be said that geomatics is based on
  spatial information technology.

Bachelor Degree in Surveying and Geomatics
Engineering (SGE)

• Offered by the Department is a five years program
  in Surveying and Geomatics Engineering
• Students must complete 159 credit hours.
• University requirements 24 credit hours
• Faculty requirements 29 credit hours.
• Department and Specialization requirements 106
  credit hours with training.

Bridging Program

• The Department offers also a bridging program
• An average of about 50 hours are accredited to
  graduates from community colleges in the fields
  of Surveying, Photogrammetry, Cartography and
  others.
• The community colleges graduates have the
  opportunity to continue their education and
  receive Bachelor Degree in SGE
