May 2002) - Good grades
- Activities contributions
6Student Evaluations
- Typically administered around 10th week
- Results available for faculty members as they
submit grades - Problem doesnt really provide evaluation of
entire semester - Thus, its been proposed they be done later
- However, its now a moot point were having
these processed on a College wide basis - Allows for comparisons of faculty across
departments - Means we wont have them processed early
- Therefore, well be doing them later
7A Related Issue Student Satisfaction Surveys
- Yes, theyre (very) flawed but were probably
stuck with them - Still, these will not be used at the
departmental level for merit, etc. - Pay attention to them or ignore them
- If nothing else, use to gauge satisfaction
- Learning a satisfied student is more likely to
learn (maybe)
