Hi my name is James. I went to an expensive
grammar school which has good results. The style
of teaching was really old fashioned, basically
the teachers spoke to us lots and we copied down
what they said and then learnt it. I learnt all
of what they told us and did really well in my
GCSEs.
Hi my name is Jess. I went to SWR, the teachers
here didnt spoon feed us the answers instead
they got us to think for ourselves and taught us
how to face new challenges. I did OK in my GCSEs
but failed Science. but I have decided to go to
college to retake it.

Hang on James had better exam results!

• James got good exam results because he was able
  to repeat back what he had been told, just like a
  parrot. However, he didnt really have to use his
  brain much and wasnt used to thinking for
  himself.

I have to be told what to say, I have no BLP

concentrate well and doesnt give up easily.
Reflectiveness You know what kind of learner you
are and are good at using WWW and EBI.

the answers. You're ready to learn in different

yourself and in groups.
