    to
  • develop, within the school, characteristics
which signal its specialist ethos and identity

One of our aims as a Sports College
  • To promote student responsibility and their
engagement in learning. (SIP priority 4)
  • Through Sports College status, the school values
and recognises the need to enhance opportunities
for student leadership, which has been identified
through analysis, reflection and review of the
    curriculum.

5
Rationale
  • 14 -19 vertical curriculum based on age not
    ability.
  • PE identified distinct accredited pathways that
offer opportunities for students to develop their
leadership skills that gain recognition for the
work that they do both within the Sports College
    and School Sport Partnership.
  • Student leadership was recognised within the
school improvement plan as a priority for raising
    standards.
