2Introductory Statement
- This will be an explanation of how the Junior
National Team Program is imitated and is
implemented at the regional level. - Region V is the primary leader in Regional Team
Program development.
3Short History Region V
- Region V began developing its Regional Team
Program in 1986. (21 years of development) - It has grown from a camp of 12 athletes and 3
coaches to 36 athletes and a Regional Coaching
Staff of 8-12 coaches. - Evolved from a single training camp to several
multi layered regional programs, education, and
direction. - Continues to provide grassroots education and
elite development for regional athletes and
coaches. - Conducted its first Inter-Regional Training Camp
between Regions V and VII in 2007.
4Regional Team Program
- Supports the Junior National Team Program,
through Talent Identification, Coaches Education,
and Athlete Development. - Adopts and implements Junior National Team
Program, policies, philosophy, and direction. - Prepares and develops the next generation of
Athlete, Coach, Judge, and Administrator. - Serves as an Educational Mix Zone between the
Age Group Competition Program and the Junior
National Team Program. - Facilitates development from Domestic Competition
to International Competition.

untapped knowledge and resources within the

place to be utilized by others.
