Project Update

• Security Plan
• Delays encountered during NISN Security Plan
  Review
• Currently under review by the MSFC CA Official
• Plan to receive iATO in early May
• ATO expected in June
• SATS/ORTS Testing
• Testing completed for the first phase of
  SATS/ORTS
• Phase-2 will begin after iATO is received and the
  WAN connections to Verizon are connected
• Core Rooms
• Certified and ready for migration
• Currently working with IT Security to coordinate
  any firewall changes needed at each Center

Teleconferencing Support Changes

• NTC will be providing all teleconferencing
  support for NASA
• NASA Codecs will need to be Certified by the NTC
  to use the new ViIP service
• Both ISDN and IP calls will be supported
• Cost Model
• Centers to pay based on percentage of overall
  usage of ViIP system
• Local ISDN circuit charges will be billed apart
  from ViIP usage
• Centers are encouraged to migrate to ViIP and
  disconnect ISDN circuits to save money.
• ISDN circuits will no longer be supported by NISN
  after June, 2010.
• FTS 2001 expires
• Networx does not include local ISDN circuits
  (PRIs)

• Future Technologies will require more bandwidth
• 768Kb calls and 1.9Mb HD calls cost 2-3 times
  current
• pricing
• Charts assume 10 migration to higher bandwidth
• conferences each year (5 - 768Kb / 5 HD)
