- WTAMU graduate students have completed
educational assessments of the childrens general
intelligence and achievement in reading, math,
writing, and spelling. -
- Students prepare reports in Spanish for the nuns
and teachers of the children. -
- Undergraduate students develop teaching materials
and methods based on the assessment results and
work directly with the children and their
teachers in increasing their academic
performance. -
- These efforts have resulted in greater academic
accomplishments and educational growth for the
orphans.

38Building Stoves in Peru
Over half of Perus 25 million people live in
poverty. A majority of Peruvians cook indoors on
open flames. By installing fuel-efficient stoves
with proper ventilation, Go-Global students
helped reduce the amount of wood consumed by
community members and reduced illnesses related
to smoke inhalation.
